Here is the start of my Painting A Day project. I chose this for it's simplicity in both color and form. I really like how the reflections on the pitcher came out. In muted colors only, I was thinking of the great Giorgio Morandi or David Chipperfield's 'Tonale' table-top collection for Alessi. Morandi, however, differs in his greatness as well as his straight-on view of the object.
The other thing I notice is that even though this is an Oil on Canvas Board, I tend to retain my watercolor tendencies. So in the end I kind of like that it looks like a watercolor but is actually an Oil.
